...that I also do not get sick of Brazil! | Mãe Paulo
Cycle "Poetic or Political?", curatorship by João Baeta
"... that I also do not get sick of Brazil!” by transdisciplinary artist Mãe Paulo is a kind of collage made from images and texts of random authors found on social networks, which approach dark moments in the recent history of Brazil: the day in the largest rainforest in the world had several burnt points and the day when the former secretary of culture made a public speech without disguising his Nazi-fascist nature. Clearly, we note that anthropological and sociopolitical research are disciplines that are part of the artist's creative process in the elaboration of a visual proposition, where politics and poetics are unthinkable independently.
