In May, in a joint partnership between PORTO FEMME and OLHARES DO MEDITERRÊNEO, it will be screened a selection of films that were in competition at the last edition of this film festival, which takes place annually in Lisbon.
Created in 2014, the “Olhares do Mediterrâneo - Cinema no Feminino” film festival promotes the screening of films that result from the creative work of Mediterranean women, or women from elsewhere in the world working in the Mediterranean. The Festival intends to stimulate the knowledge of the cinematographies coming from this geographic zone and to promote the role of the woman in the cinematographic creation, giving visibility to its work and promoting the interchange with the professionals of the cinema in Portugal.
The Festival is a project of the Olhares do Mediterrâneo group and the CRIA (Center in Network of Research in Anthropology).
