Synopsis: A riverside family composed by a mother, a daughter, and stepfather living in a rustic way, isolated on the coast of Brazil; in an environment with dunes, river, and sea.
The mother, Antônia, follows the tradition of the women of her family, making and selling bread, travelling long distances. Janaína, Antônia’s daughter, follows the commands of her severe mother and endures the subjugation of her frustrations. They both live with Jaime, a local fisherman who sexually molests, in a veiled way, his wife and his stepdaughter.
